User Research: Summary
Our research revealed that college students and beginners struggle with budgeting, expense tracking, and saving due to limited financial literacy and complex existing tools. Users expressed a need for a simple, intuitive, and beginner-friendly solution with clear spending insights, automated budgeting, and helpful reminders.
Pain Points
1. Lack of Financial Literacy - Users struggle with budgeting and saving due to minimal financial education. 2. Complicated Finance Tools - Existing apps are overwhelming, with complex features not suited for beginners. 3. Difficulty Tracking Expenses - Users often lose track of where their money goes, leading to overspending. 4. Missed Payments & Fees - Forgetting bills and subscriptions results in unnecessary late fees and financial stress.
Usability Study: Findings
1. Pay screen color button "Enter Amount" confuses users 2. Users struggle to find friends to request & Pay money 3. Users prefer having more payment options beyond their current active cards
Accessibility Consideration
1. Used icons to enhance navigation & improve usability. 2. Used font: Karma to maintain a legible & clean user interface. 3. Used simple language to enhance clarity & ensure understadning for all users.
The Result
Users gain confidence and control over their finances, develop lifelong financial habits, and improve their financial literacy in a stress-free and engaging way.
